Wood respectfully acknowledges that we live, work and play on the Traditional Lands of the Indigenous 人s (First Nations, 因纽特人, Métis) of Turtle Island/ Canada.
We acknowledge the territory to reaffirm our commitment and responsibility to building positive relationships between nations and developing a deep understanding of Indigenous 人s and their cultures. From coast to coast, we acknowledge the ancestral and unceded territory of all 因纽特人, First Nations and Métis peoples.
A brighter future starts with the communities we live and work in. Through our partnership with Indspire, we have committed $100k over 3 years to the Wood Indigenous Bursary to support the education and career paths of First Nations, 因纽特人, and Métis students.
Indspire is a national Indigenous charity that invests in the education of First Nations, 因纽特人 and Métis people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.
Wood is committed to building positive and mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous communities. We acknowledge that the engineering, procurement, and construction services we provide clients we work with may lie within traditional Indigenous territory, and we will respect the culture, 权利, and interests of Indigenous peoples and their land. Wood acknowledges the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) of Canada Calls to Action, and is implementing action #92 throughout the three main pillars for success; in Leadership Commitment, Indigenous Relations & Partnership, and 社区 Involvement.
